Leane was born in Singapore, and at age 13 she was accepted into School Of The Arts Singapore (SOTA). In 2012, she was awarded a scholarship to further her training at the Central School of Ballet (CSB) where she was trained under Linda Moran, Elia Luyando, Leanne King, Fiona Chadwick and Carol Gable. In 2015, Leane graduated with a First Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Dance and Performance.

Her time at CSB gave her many performance and choreography opportunities. Her choreography of a neoclassical ballet piece won second place in the school’s Choreographic Platform, and she also had the opportunity of performing her own choreographed piece at the City of London Festival. In her final year, she had the opportunity to perform with Ballet Central, the school’s touring company, dancing in Four by Christopher Hampson and Hopper by Kit Holder.

Leane joined SDT as an apprentice in January 2017 and was promoted to an Artist in January 2019. She has since performed in company productions such as The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Coppélia, Paquita, Don Quixote, Peter and Blue series, Bournonville Divertissements, Organ Concerto, Unexpected B, Linea Adora and Quiver. She has also danced in Balanchine’s Serenade and The Four Temperaments, Choo-San Goh’s Schubert Symphony, Double Contrasts, Fives, In the Glow of the Night and Birds of Paradise. Paquita, Schubert Symphony, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Bournonville Divertissements, Double Contrasts, Serenade, Linea Adora and Fives.
