JUSTIN ZEE
Artist

Justin was born in Victoria, Australia, where he began dancing at the age of 7. After training locally at Jan Pianta’s School of Dance, Justin furthered his dance training at the National Theatre Ballet School. He received his advanced diploma and was privileged to perform a wide variety of repertoire.

After graduating, he spent 3 months in Europe, before joining Melbourne City Ballet Company, where he performed many soloist roles, including Don Jose in the production of Carmen. He then joined Teatrul de Balet Sibiu in Romania where he danced in full-length classical ballets such as Swan Lake and Giselle, as well as many contemporary creations. After his time in Romania, he joined the National Morvarian Silesian Theatre as a Coryphée where he danced and worked with choreographers in ballets such as Chaplin by Mario Schroder and Cinderella by Paul Chamler. One of his highlights was dancing in Youri Vamos’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Demetrius.

Justin joined Singapore Dance Theatre as an Artist in July 2016 and has performed in Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote and Giselle. He has also performed in Theme and Variations and Serenade by George Balanchine, Sticks and Stones, Unexpected B, Linea Adora, SYNC, Symphony in Three Movements, Organ Concerto, 13th Heaven, Opus 25, Midnight Waltzes, Unknown Territory, In the Glow of the Night, Quiver and Without You.
