GEMMA GUM GEE
Apprentice
Gemma grew up in Sydney, Australia, and started dancing at the age of three at the Northern Ballet Studios. At the age of 15, she began full-time dance training at the Tanya Pearson Academy, and later, at the Dance North Academy. During her training, she had the opportunity to perform a range of repertoire, including in The Nutcracker, Le Corsaire, and Paquita.
Throughout her training, Gemma also participated in various competitions, including becoming a semi-finalist in the Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition in 2021, and in 2022, she was awarded with the Royal Academy of Dance Solo Seal Award.
Gemma joined Singapore Ballet as an apprentice in August 2023.
