JEREMIE GAN
Artist
Jeremie started ballet at age 2.5 with his ballet teacher mum. In recognition of his achievement at RAD Advanced 2, he was awarded ARAD. By 14, he won 1st Prize in both Category 3 and 2 (Ages 11-17) in The Dance Society Solo Classical Ballet Competitions.
At 15, Jeremie won Gold Medal in the 9th Youth Ballet Stars Award. He received a full scholarship at the HK Asian Grand Prix to attend the New Zealand School
of Dance. At NZSD, he was awarded his Solo Seal and performed in principal roles by choreographers including Balanchine, Macmillan, Jack Carter and Otto and Jiří Bubeníček. He performed featured roles in Royal New Zealand Ballet’s The Wizard of Oz world premiere.
As the 2016 Dame Margot Fonteyn Scholarship Fund Bursary recipient, he participated in the prestigious Genée International Ballet Competition in Sydney.
Jeremie joined SDT as an apprentice in January 2017, and was promoted to Artist in January 2018. In 2021, he debuted as Peter in Peter & Blue School Holiday.
He has also performed in Coppélia, The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, Napoli Tarantella, Giselle, Swan Lake, Mandolin Dance in Romeo and Juliet (2020), Sticks and Stones, Unexpected B, Symphony in Three Movements, Peter & Blue series, Linea Adora, SYNC, Unknown Territory, Theme and Variations, Blue Snow, Family Reunion, ZIN!, Momentum, Singular and Quiver.
